Yulien
Tso, L.Ac., Dipl.O.M. is licensed to practice acupuncture by the
California Acupuncture Board and
the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine. She is also a certified massage therapist for Tuina
Chinese massage, a physical therapy modality, and is certified
in auriculotherapy by the Auriculotherapy Certification Institute.
She believes strongly that good health is an important base of
a happy and productive
life, and that we all possess the ability to heal ourselves.
She stands by the holistic approach of Traditional Chinese Medicine,
considering each patient's emotional, mental, and spiritual condition
at the same time as treating the immediate physical issue and
focusing on the root cause, rather than chasing symptoms. She
believes in the value of overall well-being as a foundation for
prevention, which is more important to us now than ever.
Yulien began her studies at Yo San University in Los Angeles, California, and completed them at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco, California, where she received her Master's degree. While attending ACTCM, she was privileged to intern for several outstanding physicians in the Bay area, including Dr. Lifang Liang, an expert in infertility, Dr. Isaac Cohen, a breast cancer specialist, and Robert Levine, a very talented and unique healer. Her experiences with these gifted practitioners not only broadened her horizons but also taught her important lessons about the healing power in all of us. She remains committed to advancing her knowledge and continues to attend classes and seminars throughout the year.
Yulien's aim in practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine is to provide effective holistic healthcare to her patients and to help them improve their lives through recognition and use of the healing power within themselves.
